Rask makes 23 saves in helping Bruins to 4-1 win that sends Panthers to 7th straight loss

BOSTON - Tuukka Rask made 29 saves and the Boston Bruins got goals from four different players to hand the Florida Panthers their seventh straight loss, 4-1 on Thursday night.

Rask improved to 9-1 against Florida in helping Boston win for the third time in its last seven home games.

Florida has lost 10 of its past 11 games and is on its longest skid (0-3-4) since a 10-game slide in April 2011.

David Krejci gave Boston a 1-0 lead when his shot from the blue line beat Panthers goalie Scott Clemmensen at 7:17 of the second period. Brad Marchand, Torey Krug and Reilly Smith scored in the third.

Jesse Winchester scored for the Panthers.

Panthers' goalie Tim Thomas is still out with a lower body injury, but the former Bruins goalie was shown on the Jumbotron midway through the third period and received a rousing ovation.

Quote of the Day

I think I'm lucky to be here and you definitely don't take very many things for granted, if you take anything for granted. I definitely put my family and my wife and my close family in perspective, that they're the most important thing in the world. I want to do whatever I can to play hockey, but like I said, under the right circumstances.
