Guelph Storm centre Robby Fabbri handed 10-game ban for check to the head

TORONTO - Guelph Storm centre Robby Fabbri has been handed a 10-game suspension for delivering a check to the head of an opponent in a game last week.

The league reviewed the incident and announced the ban Wednesday.

Fabbri was given a five-minute major and game misconduct for the play, which occurred in Guelph's game against the Kitchener Rangers last Friday.

Fabbri, a five-foot-10, 165-pound native of Mississauga, Ont., has 24 points (10 goals, 14 assists) in 17 games this season.

Quote of the Day

It's about enjoying the moment. It's pretty cool to get that many people together and that excited about hockey to the point they really want you to mess up. They've got a ton of red jerseys and you have to sit back and appreciate people love hockey that much and you are the one out there who gets to play the game. Just try and stick with that respect for the game and also the mentality that for me it's just about entering the fight and seeing how long I can stay in it.
