Coyotes' Morris leaves with injury
The Phoenix Coyotes lost defenseman Derek Morris to an undisclosed injury in the first period of a game Tuesday night against the Vancouver Canucks.

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Phoenix Coyotes lost defenseman Derek Morris to an undisclosed injury in the first period of a game Tuesday night against the Vancouver Canucks at Jobing.com Arena.

Morris played only 3:05 of the first period before heading to the dressing room. He came back to the bench later in the period, but did not return to the game, which the Coyotes won 3-2 in a shootout.

Morris was off to a great start this season with four goals and 10 points in the first 15 games.
