Bolland was injured early in the second period of the Maple Leafs' game Saturday against the Vancouver Canucks when Canucks forward Zack Kassian accidentally stepped on the back of Bolland's leg while delivering a check.

Acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks in a June trade, Bolland has six goals, four assists and a plus-4 rating in 15 games.

Also Monday the Maple Leafs announced the club had placed center Tyler Bozak on long-term injured reserve Saturday with a hamstring injury sustained during a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Oct. 25.
