The Washington Capitals on Sunday reassigned defenseman Dmitry Orlov to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.

Orlov, 22, has six points (one goal, five assists) in six games with Hershey, including a career-high four points (one goal, three assists) in the Bears' 4-0 win against the St. John's IceCaps on Oct. 19. In 69 career AHL games, Orlov has 41 points (10 goals, 31 assists) and 44 penalty minutes.

Drafted by the Capitals in the second round (No. 55) of the 2009 NHL Draft, Orlov has 20 points (three goals, 17 assists) and 18 penalty minutes in 65 regular-season games for Washington.
