Senators' Eric Condra leaves with leg injury
Ottawa Senators forward Erik Condra left his team's game against the New York Islanders on Friday night late in the first period because of a muscle strain in his right leg and will not return.

OTTAWA -- Ottawa Senators forward Erik Condra left his team's game against the New York Islanders on Friday night late in the first period because of a muscle strain in his right leg and will not return.

Condra went to the dressing room after he opened the scoring with his first goal of the season at 18:38. He returned for the second and played two shifts before leaving again.

The Senators announced the injury and confirmed that he will not return.

Quote of the Day

You don't see many. The [Drew] Doughtys, the [P.K.] Subbans, those are guys that create offense from the back and then on top of that ability, the size that he has. In the West you play against some pretty big players, and being able to clear the crease and contain the [Ryan] Getzlafs and the [Corey] Perrys and [Anze] Kopitars and players like that, we're excited about him going back there.
