Forward Matt Hendricks left the Nashville Predators' game against the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday night with an upper-body injury and did not return.

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Forward Matt Hendricks left the Nashville Predators' game against the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday night with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Hendricks scored his first goal of the season to trigger Nashville's three-goal first period. But on the opening shift of the second period, Hendricks took a hard hit from Phoenix defenseman Derek Morris. He skated off and did not return. Phoenix won the game 5-4 in a shootout.
