Blues place Paajarvi on injured reserve
The St. Louis Blues on Wednesday placed forward Magnus Paajarvi on injured reserve with an upper-body injury

Magnus Paajarvi was placed on injured reserve Wednesday by the St. Louis Blues with an upper-body injury.

Paajarvi, 22, was hurt in the first period of a 6-1 win against the Nashville Predators on Saturday and missed the rest of the game.

In four games this season Paajarvi is scoreless. A first-round pick (No. 10) in the 2009 NHL Draft, he was acquired from the Edmonton Oilers in an offseason trade for forward David Perron.

Quote of the Day

For our team, as a group, we've never been this far before, and so it's just more lessons learned, and sometimes you have to go to the school of hard knocks to find out what works and what doesn't. We've got a young group. They've played some unreal hockey here to get us this far, and we showed if we're not going to play the proper way, a really, really good hockey team is going to beat you, and that's what they did. It's a lesson learned.
