OHL Roundup: Horvat, Storm still rolling in win over Petes; Guelph streak at 8

Ryan Horvat and the Guelph Storm are rolling through the Ontario Hockey League.

Horvat scored twice and added an assist as Guelph scored five unanswered goals on Wednesday in a 7-1 romp over the Peterborough Petes, the Storm's eighth straight win.

That win streak has kept Guelph at the top of the OHL's Midwest division, ahead of the red-hot Erie Otters who have won 10 games in a row.

Hunter Garlent's goal 9:50 into the second period was the first of Guelph's (13-3-0) five unanswered goals. Matt Finn, Brody Milne, Robby Fabbri and Garrett McFadden also scored for the Storm.

Matthew Mancina made 26 saves for the win.

Jonatan Tanus was the lone scorer for Peterborough (7-7-1). Andrew D'Agostini stopped 26 shots for the Petes.

Guelph did not score on its two power plays, while Tanus's goal came on one of Peterborough's three man advantages.
