Sergei Fedorov will take part in the 2013 Alumni Showdown between the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs on Dec. 31, the team announced Wednesday.

Fedorov played the first 13 seasons of his NHL career for the Red Wings, winning Stanley Cups in 1997, 1998 and 2002. He won the Hart Memorial Trophy and Ted Lindsay Award in 1993-94 after recording career highs of 56 goals and 120 points, was a two-time Selke Trophy winner and played in six NHL All-Star games.
Fedorov finished his NHL career, which also included stints with the Anaheim Ducks, Columbus Blue Jackets and Washington Capitals, with 483 goals and 696 assists for 1,179 points in 1,248 games.
Tickets for the Alumni Showdown go on sale Monday, Nov. 4. Each ticket is good for both games of the New Year's Eve doubleheader (1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. ET), and provides free access to the Coke Zero Fan Zone in the parking lots just outside Comerica Park. The Red Wings and Maple Leafs will meet Jan. 1 at Michigan Stadium in the 2014 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic.
