Coyotes' Hanzal suspended two games for charging
Phoenix Coyotes forward Martin Hanzal has been suspended for two games, without pay, for charging Edmonton Oilers defenseman Jeff Petry.

NEW YORK -- Phoenix Coyotes forward Martin Hanzal has been suspended for two games, without pay, for charging Edmonton Oilers defenseman Jeff Petry during NHL Game No. 164 in Glendale on Saturday, October 26, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

Hanzal is considered a repeat offender under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, will forfeit $75,609.76. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.

The incident occurred at 13:42 of the first period. Hanzal received a minor penalty for charging on the play.
