The Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled veteran defenseman John-Michael Liles from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled veteran defenseman John-Michael Liles from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

Liles, 32, has played eight games for the Marlies this season. He has one goal and five points, while recording eight penalty minutes, a plus-3 rating and 25 shots on goal.

In 98 games over the past two seasons with the Maple Leafs, Liles has registered nine goals and 29 assists for 38 points along with 24 minutes in penalties. He has career totals of 77 goals and 313 points in 621 games for the Maple Leafs and Colorado Avalanche.
