Blues lose Paajarvi, Stewart with injuries
The St. Louis Blues lost forwards Magnus Paajarvi and Chris Stewart with upper-body injuries during their 6-1 victory against the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday night.

The St. Louis Blues lost forwards Magnus Paajarvi and Chris Stewart with upper-body injuries during their 6-1 victory against the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday night.

Paajarvi played five shifts in the first period but did not return to the ice following the conclusion of his fifth at 10:44. He was hit by Nashville's Victor Bartley in the defensive zone at 10:02, but stayed on the ice following the hit.

Stewart, who got shoved into the corner boards by Patric Hornqvist midway through the second period, was lost for the third period after he also returned for a few shifts.

"We'll see how these guys are in the next couple of days," coach Ken Hitchcock said, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "We're going to need a further evaluation on this thing (Sunday) on both guys. But Paajarvi was playing great, that's the tough part. And Stewy had a great game (Friday) and he was playing well again tonight."

Quote of the Day

We think that Randy is a very good coach. Our players think that Randy is a very good coach. We think that he's going to get the most out of this group. With the addition of the two assistants, a bit of a different dynamic, we're very comfortable that this is a quality coaching staff that's going to maximize the potential of this team.
