Chiasson, Benn each score 2 goals to carry Stars to 5-1 victory over Flames

DALLAS - Alex Chiasson and Jamie Benn each scored two goals to lead the Dallas Stars to a 5-1 victory over the Calgary Flames on Thursday night.

The game was tied 1-1 when Chiasson took a pass from Ray Whitney and shot the puck into the upper right corner over Calgary goalie Karri Ramo at 11:11 of the second period.

At first, the shot was ruled no goal, but a review showed that the puck reached the net before bouncing out.

In the next 1:01, Benn and Brenden Dillon added goals to put Dallas on top 4-1.

Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen returned after missing five games on injured reserve because of a leg injury. Dallas (4-5) lost four of those five games.

Lehtonen made 28 saves against Calgary. Lee Stempniak scored a second-period goal for the Flames (4-4-2).

Quote of the Day

We have no doubt how he can play. You don't, with four teams that are left, you're not getting here without good goaltending. All great goalies left, and [Bishop] is a top-tier goaltender in this league and he's shown it.
