The Chicago Blackhawks will be without defenseman Michael Kostka for the next 4-6 weeks due to a lower-body injury he sustained at practice Tuesday.
The injury will not require surgery.
Kostka, who broke into the NHL playing 35 games last season for the Toronto Maple Leafs, had played in two games this season for the Blackhawks. He scored his first NHL goal on Saturday in a 3-1 win against the Maple Leafs.
