Canucks' Hansen injured, did not return vs. Islanders
Vancouver Canucks forward Jannik Hansen did not return to Tuesday's game at the New York Islanders after he was injured crashing into the boards in the first period.

UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- Vancouver Canucks forward Jannik Hansen was forced to leave during the first period of a game Tuesday night against the New York Islanders following a collision with defenseman Brian Strait. He did not return.

Hansen crashed into the boards while chasing a loose puck behind the Islanders' net. He quickly headed to the Canucks' dressing room at Nassau Coliseum, leaving Vancouver with 10 forwards for the rest of the game.

Hansen entered Tuesday with two goals and one assist in 10 games.

Quote of the Day

It's really exciting. I'm pretty sure that when I play my first game I'm going to be emotional. To be back on the ice playing a game, being in game situations, with all the routines and rituals I do before games and during the game, I feel like I'm going to be emotional. I'm going to be really happy.
