The Dallas Stars on Monday activated goaltender Kari Lehtonen from injured reserve and assigned goalie Jack Campbell to the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.
In addition, defenseman Aaron Rome was recalled from Texas.
Lehtonen had been out since sustaining a lower-body injury in an Oct. 11 game against the Winnipeg Jets.
Dan Ellis started the next four games in his absence before Campbell made his NHL debut Sunday in a 6-3 loss to the Anaheim Ducks.
Rome played in 27 games for the Stars last season and has 201 games of NHL experience in parts of seven seasons with the Ducks, Columbus Blue Jackets and Vancouver Canucks.
