Kane not hurt badly but still may miss game, Thorburn out and Cormier called up

WINNIPEG - Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane is questionable for Friday's home game against the St. Louis Blues after injuring his right leg at practice this week.

Kane had to be helped off the ice on Wednesday after he got tangled up along the boards with defenceman Anthony Peluso.

Coach Claude Noel says it's not a serious injury and Kane is day to day.

Noel says forwards Bryan Little and Jim Slater will play against the Blues, even though they didn't skate at the team's morning practice.

The Jets also placed forward Chris Thorburn on the injured reserve list and recalled forward Patrice Cormier from the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League.

Cormier did not record a point in 10 games with the Jets last season.
