Rangers recall forward Miller, goalie Talbot
The New York Rangers reportedly have recalled forward J.T. Miller and goaltender Cam Talbot from the AHL

The New York Rangers have recalled forward J.T. Miller and goaltender Cam Talbot from their American Hockey League team, the Hartford Wolf Pack.

The moves would come one day after the Rangers placed forward Rick Nash on injured reserve due to a head injury and put forward Arron Asham and goaltender Martin Biron on waivers.

Asham and Biron cleared waivers Tuesday and were assigned to Hartford.

Nash hasn't played since Oct. 8, when he was elbowed in the head by the San Jose Sharks' Brad Stuart.

Miller, who opened the season with the Rangers before being sent to the AHL, is second in the league with four goals in three games.

Talbot is 2-0-1 with a 2.54 goals-against average and .918 save percentage in three AHL games.

The Rangers next play Wednesday at the Washington Capitals (8 p.m. ET, NBCSN, TSN2, RDS2).

Quote of the Day

We have no doubt how he can play. You don't, with four teams that are left, you're not getting here without good goaltending. All great goalies left, and [Bishop] is a top-tier goaltender in this league and he's shown it.
