Flames recall Blair Jones, place David Jones on IR
Blair Jones was recalled by the Calgary Flames from the AHL, and forward David Jones was placed on injured reserve

The Calgary Flames recalled center Blair Jones from the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League on Thursday.

Jones, who has spent parts of seven NHL seasons with the Flames and Tampa Bay Lightning, had an assist, nine penalty minutes and a team-high plus-3 rating in two games for the Heat.

Forward David Jones (upper-body injury) was placed in injured reserve retroactive to Oct. 9, and is considered week-to-week. The Flames also activated defenseman Chris Breen from the injured non-roster list and assigned him to Abbotsford on a conditioning loan.

Quote of the Day

I had one really not-good game. I came back to the hotel and he [his father] was on Skype. My mother called first and said, 'Your father wants to talk to you.' So he moved my mother away, and he yelled at me for like 30 seconds. I understood him, and then he said, 'I'm done.' And he was gone. The next game I got my first shutout.
