TORONTO - Colorado rookie Nathan MacKinnon was all smiles ahead of Game 3 of his NHL career.

The 18-year-old centre from Cole Harbour, N.S., says he's still getting over how well he is being treated in the big leagues.

MacKinnon says he is loving every minute of his rookie season.

The top pick in the 2013 draft lives with veteran goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere in Denver.

Colorado (2-0-0) and Toronto (3-0-0) are both unbeaten heading into Tuesday night's game, the first meeting between the two teams since October 2011.

For me, it's a great win for our hockey team and for a lot of people back in Columbus, especially our fans in particular … people who have been devoted to this organization, it's big.
