Maple Leafs GM Nonis released from hospital
Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Dave Nonis was taken to the hospital during the team's game Saturday night in a precautionary move.

Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Dave Nonis spent the night in a hospital after feeling "unwell" during the team's game Saturday night, but he has been released, according to multiple media reports.

"During the second period of last night's home opener, Toronto Maple Leafs Senior Vice President and General Manager Dave Nonis felt unwell," the Maple Leafs said in a statement Sunday before his release. "He was assessed by team physicians at Air Canada Centre, and as a precaution, was asked to go to the hospital for further testing. He has progressed very well overnight and is expected to be discharged [Sunday]."

The Maple Leafs' next game is Tuesday at Air Canada Centre against the Colorado Avalanche.
