Toronto Marlies defenceman T.J. Brennan named AHL player of the week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Toronto Marlies defenceman T.J. Brennan was named American Hockey League player of the week on Monday.

He opened the AHL season with six points (four goals, two assists) over two games to help the Marlies to a pair of victories.

Brennan had his first career hat trick and added an assist in a 4-3 win over Grand Rapids on Saturday afternoon. He had a goal and an assist in a 5-1 win over Lake Erie a day later.
