QMJHL Roundup: Dominic Poulin's goal helps Drakkar edge Sagueneens 3-2

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. - Dominic Poulin scored a power-play goal in the third period to lift the Baie-Comeau Drakkar to a 3-2 win over the Chicoutimi Sagueneens in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play Thursday.

Charles Poulin and Jeremy Gregoire gave the Drakkar (4-3-2) a 2-0 lead in the first period.

But Chicoutimi (5-3-0) rallied back with goals in the second from Simon Tremblay and Sebastien Sylvestre.

Philippe Cadorette stopped 29 shots for Baie-Comeau, and Julio Billia had 36 saves for the Sagueneens.

WILDCATS 5 TITAN 2

BATHURST, N.B. — Ivan Barbashev scored a hat trick to help Moncton cruise past the Titan.

Barbashev had a goal in each period while Mark Simpson and Christophe Lalonde added singles for the Wildcats (3-5-0) and Alex Dubeau made 30 saves.

Dominic Beauchemin and Patrik Zdrahal replied for Acadie-Bathurst (3-5-0).

Jacob Brennan started in goal for the Titan but was pulled after allowing two goals on seven shots. He was replaced by Mason McDonald, who was solid with 34 saves.
