Owen Sound forward Stefano Pezzetta handed eight-game ban by OHL

LONDON, Ont. - The Ontario Hockey League handed down four suspensions Tuesday, including an eight-game ban to Owen Sound forward Stefano Pezzetta.

He was suspended for checking a player from behind in a game last Thursday against the Barrie Colts.

Mississauga Steelheads forward Josh Burnside was handed a six-game suspension for boarding a player in a game against the Belleville Bulls last Friday.

Erie Otters defenceman Cory Genovese was given a five-game ban for cross-checking a Windsor Spitfires player last Saturday. London Knights forward Max Domi was suspended for four games for delivering a check to the head of an opponent in last Sunday's game against the Guelph Storm.

Quote of the Day

That's a really tough thing to play through; when you finally are thrown out there, the game is fast, intense, every single play matters, you've got to find a way to play through that and make smart plays. So it's a huge testament to [Vermette] and some other individuals in our locker room that are putting their own ego, their own wants and needs aside, and are ready for those opportunities when they do come.
