Stalberg was checked by Tampa's Dmitry Korobov inside the Lightning zone 5:39 into the opening period Tuesday night. Stalberg skated off the ice favouring his right arm and went straight to Nashville's locker room.

Stalberg signed a four-year, $12 million contract with the Predators in the off-season after helping the Chicago Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup last season.
