Vancouver Canucks right wing Dale Weise will have a telephone hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Monday for an illegal check to the head during a preseason game against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night at Rexall Place.
At 6:52 of the first period, Weise was assessed a minor for an illegal check to the head of Edmonton forward Taylor Hall.
Hall remained in the game for the Oilers in their 5-2 victory.
