Canadiens sign goalie Fucale to entry-level contract
The Montreal Canadiens have signed goaltender Zachary Fucale to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The Montreal Canadiens have signed goaltender Zachary Fucale to a three-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Saturday.

Fucale, the No. 36 pick in the 2013 NHL Draft, had a record of 45-5-3 for Halifax in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League last season, with a 2.35 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage.

Fucale helped the Mooseheads win the President Cup with a 16-1-0 record in the QMJHL playoffs. He also helped Halifax to its first Memorial Cup, with three wins in four games.

The 18-year-old Quebec native, who is at Canadiens training camp, has a 77-32-4 record in 113 junior games since making his debut with Halifax in 2011-12.
