Raymond to attend Toronto training camp on professional tryout contract

LONDON, Ont. - Mason Raymond will attend the Toronto Maple Leafs' training camp on a professional tryout contract.

The 27-year-old left wing spent the last five-plus seasons with the Vancouver Canucks. He has 80 goals and 98 assists in 374 career NHL games.

Raymond, who confirmed the tryout in a text message to The Canadian Press, could fill a need for the Maple Leafs on the third line, where they have a hole after trading Matt Frattin to Los Angeles in the deal that sent goalie Jonathan Bernier to Toronto.
