Rangers sign undrafted defenseman Donnay

Thursday, 08.01.2013 / 2:07 PM / NHL Free Agency 2013

The New York Rangers on Thursday announced they have agreed to terms on a contract with free-agent defenseman Troy Donnay. Terms of the deal were not released.

Donnay, 19, was undrafted after three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, with the London Knights and Erie Otters. The 6-foot-7, 190-pound player had one goal and seven assists in 68 games with Erie last season and served as an alternate captain.

In three OHL seasons, Donnay, a native of Fenton, Mich., had two goals and 15 assists in 143 games.

I've been getting frustrated lately, and the only thing keeping me sane was the team winning and other people stepping up and scoring. Then you just kind of let it go and realize you can end the series with one shot, that frustration goes away for a brief moment, and that's what happened.
