The Minnesota Wild on Tuesday re-signed defenseman Tyler Cuma to a one-year contract.

Cuma, taken in the first round (No. 23) of the 2008 NHL Draft, had one goal and 12 points in 42 games last season for the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League.

Cuma has played in one NHL game with the Wild, during the 2011-12 season.

Quote of the Day

He is, in my opinion, one of the best defensemen in the NHL and continuing to grow. I think his game, from an offensive standpoint, he continues to drive our offense... I think there's still tremendous upside for Oliver.
