The New York Rangers have avoided arbitration with forward Mats Zuccarello, agreeing to a new contract Tuesday. TSN's Darren Dreger is reporting it is a one-year, $1.15 million deal.
Zuccarello, 25, returned to the Rangers late in the 2012-13 season after starting with Magnitogorsk Metallurg of the Kontinental Hockey League and had three goals and eight points in 15 regular-season games. He had a goal and seven assists in 12 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
Zuccarello has 11 goals and 34 points in 67 games with the Rangers over parts of three seasons.
