The Pittsburgh Penguins avoided arbitration with defenseman Roberto Bortuzzo, agreeing Wednesday to a two-year, $1.2 million contract

The Pittsburgh Penguins avoided arbitration with defenseman Roberto Bortuzzo, agreeing Wednesday to a two-year, $1.2 million contract.

Bortuzzo had two goals and four points in 15 games for the Penguins last season.

A third-round pick (No. 78) by the team in the 2007 NHL Draft, he has four points in 21 NHL games, all with the Penguins, in the past two seasons.
