Panthers sign Timmins to one-year contract
The Florida Panthers on Wednesday announced the signing of forward Scott Timmins to a one-year contract.

The Florida Panthers on Wednesday announced they have signed forward Scott Timmins to a one-year contract.

Timmins played in five games with the Panthers last season and has one goal in 24 games. Florida made him a sixth-round pick (No. 165) in the 2009 NHL Draft.

Timmins spent most of the past two seasons playing for the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League, where he had 11 goals and 24 points in 65 games last season.
