Senators sign Wiercioch to three-year contract
The Senators on Monday announced the re-signing of 22-year-old defenseman Patrick Wiercioch to a three-year contract.

The Ottawa Senators on Monday announced the re-signing of 22-year-old defenseman Patrick Wiercioch to a three-year contract. Financial terms were not released.

Wiercioch had five goals, 14 assists and a plus-9 rating in 42 games with the Senators last season. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound blueliner ranked second among NHL rookie defensemen in scoring.

Selected by Ottawa in the second round (No. 42) of the 2008 NHL Draft, Wiercioch has five goals, 16 assists and 43 penalty minutes in 50 NHL games.
