Winnipeg Jets avoid salary arbitration with forward Eric Tangradi

WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Jets have avoided salary arbitration forward Eric Tangradi.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but several media reports say it's two-year contract worth US$1.35-million.

Tangradi, 24, had one goal and three assists in 36 games with the Jets last season.

The Philadelphia native has two goals, seven assists and 48 penalty minutes in 81 career games with Pittsburgh and Winnipeg.

He was originally drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the second round, 42nd overall, in the 2007 NHL draft.
