Flyers sign Lauridsen to two-year contract
Report: Philadelphia Flyers sign Oliver Lauridsen to two-year contract.

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed defenseman Oliver Lauridsen to a two-year contract worth $1.2 million, the team announced Wednesday.

Lauridsen, 24, made his NHL debut with the Flyers last season and had two goals, one assist and 34 penalty minutes in 15 games.

He had the game-winning goal in back-to-back games against the Boston Bruins on April 23 and the New York Islanders on April 25.

Quote of the Day

This team has been a real treat to say you've been the head coach of them. I'm extremely proud of this group ... after the disappointment of (the Game 6 loss) is digested, it's always a lot easier as a coach when your team has emptied its tank, and that team emptied its tank for me for three months.
