Winnipeg Jets sign free agent defenceman Adam Pardy

WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Jets signed free-agent defenceman Adam Pardy on Saturday.

The 29-year-old played in 17 games last season with the Buffalo Sabres, collecting four assists and 14 penalty minutes.

Pardy also appeared in 21 games with the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League where he recorded nine points (two goals, seven assists) and 22 penalty minutes.

In 200 career NHL games with Buffalo, the Calgary Flames and Dallas Stars, the Bonavista, N.L., native has four goals and 29 assists to go along with 171 penalty minutes.

Selected in the sixth round of the 2004 NHL draft by Calgary, the six-foot-four, 220-pound Pardy also has a pair of assists in six playoff games with the Flames.
