The Florida Panthers have signed free agent forward Joey Crabb to a two-year contract worth $600,000 per season, according to a report by TSN's Darren Dreger.

Crabb scored two goals in 26 games last season for the Washington Capitals.

The 30-year-old broke into the NHL with the Atlanta Thrashers during the 2008-09 season and has also played for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has career totals of 20 goals and 52 points in 172 games.

Quote of the Day

He's only 17 but he can see the ice so well and he moves the puck and goes to the open ice all the time, so I just think he's a player that is ready to play in the NHL. I'm really looking forward to coaching someone like this.
