Brian McGrattan signs two-year deal with Calgary Flames worth $750k per season

CALGARY - Right-winger Brian McGrattan and the Calgary Flames have agreed to a new two-year deal worth $750,000 a season.

McGrattan played 19 games with the Flames last season, scoring three goals after joining Calgary on Feb. 28.

The 31-year-old from Hamilton has six goals, 13 assists and 505 penalty minutes in his eight NHL seasons with the Ottawa Senators, Phoenix Coyotes, Nashville Predators and Calgary.

Quote of the Day

He's only 17 but he can see the ice so well and he moves the puck and goes to the open ice all the time, so I just think he's a player that is ready to play in the NHL. I'm really looking forward to coaching someone like this.
