Flames re-sign McGrattan for two years
The Calgary Flames have signed right wing Brian McGrattan to a two-year contract worth $1.5 million, the team announced Thursday.

The Calgary Flames have signed right wing Brian McGrattan to a two-year contract worth $1.5 million, the team announced Thursday.

McGrattan played 19 games with the Flames in 2012-13, with three goals and 49 penalty minutes. He was acquired off waivers Feb. 28.

He previously played for the Flames during the 2009-10 season.

He has appeared in 233 NHL games, including time with the Ottawa Senators, Phoenix Coyotes and Nashville Predators.

McGrattan, 31, has six goals, 13 assists a minus-5 rating and 505 penalty minutes.
