Lightning acquire rights to Olson from Blue Jackets
Tampa Bay Lightning acquire rights to Drew Olson from Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday traded the rights to defenseman Drew Olson to the Tampa Bay Lightning for future considerations.

Olson, a 2008 fourth-round pick, spent the past four seasons at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. In 2012-13, the 5-foot-11, 215-pound blueliner had one goal and six assists.

In four seasons, he had three goals and 18 assists in 146 games.

He also got into five American Hockey League games with the Peoria Rivermen, totaling one assist and a minus-2 rating.
