Wild center Bouchard to test free agency
Center Pierre-Marc Bouchard will not re-sign with the Minnesota Wild and will become an unrestricted free agent Friday, according to his agent.

Center Pierre-Marc Bouchard will not re-sign with the Minnesota Wild and will become an unrestricted free agent Friday, according to his agent.

Bouchard "will not sign a new deal with Minnesota and will be UFA on July 5th," agent Allan Walsh said via his Twitter account.

Bouchard, 29, was Minnesota’s first-round selection (No. 8) in the 2002 NHL Draft. He made his debut with the Wild at age 18 and has 101 goals and 347 points in 565 games, and four goals and nine points in 21 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

His past few seasons have been marred by concussion issues -- he missed 149 games from 2009-12 -- but he was able to play 43 games in 2012-13, scoring eight goals and finishing with 20 points. He had a goal and an assist in five playoff games against the Chicago Blackhawks.
