The Florida Panthers have signed restricted free agent forwards Bobby Butler and Eric Selleck, the team announced Monday.

Butler receives a two-year contract and Selleck a one-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Butler, acquired earlier this month in a trade with the Nashville Predators, split the 2012-13 season between the Predators and New Jersey Devils, combining for four goals and 11 points in 34 games.

Selleck played two games for the Panthers, recording an assist and 17 penalty minutes.

Quote of the Day

I spent a long summer thinking about that playoff series and what could have been. [The Blackhawks] ended up being the Stanley Cup champions, so we know we lost to a very good team. It's tough to know how close we were, and it motivates us for this year.

— Nashville captain Shea Weber in an interview with the Predators website
