After injury in Game 5, Bergeron released from Chicago hospital to fly home with team

BOSTON - Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli says forward Patrice Bergeron was discharged from a Chicago hospital and was expected to fly home with the team Sunday morning.

Bergeron was injured in the second period of Saturday night's 3-1 loss to the Blackhawks in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals. Chicago leads the series 3-2 heading into Game 6 in Boston on Monday night.

The Bruins would not divulge any specifics about the injury.

Quote of the Day

There's no discouragement in that room. There's no issues there at all to be honest with you. It's more about, 'Hey, it's opportunities for players.' And if we become that bad of a team because of one player, it's not a real good sign for our hockey club. So this is part of sports. It's part of hockey.
