Devils sign Tedenby to new contract

The New Jersey Devils on Thursday announced the signing of forward Mattias Tedenby to a new contract. It's reportedly a one-year, $600,000 deal.

Tedenby played four games for the Devils during the 2012-13 season, recording one assist. He scored 10 goals with nine assists in 37 games for Albany of the American Hockey League.

A first-round pick by the Devils in the 2008 NHL Draft, the 23-year-old has career NHL totals of nine goals and 29 points in 105 games.

Quote of the Day

Obviously there's a lot of expectations around me but it's something I try not to focus on. I'm just trying to go out there, be myself on the ice every day, try to get better, be myself around the guys in the locker room. I think that's what's made me successful and the person that I am.
