The Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday signed a pair of recent draft picks, Sebastian Colberg and Magnus Nygren, to entry-level contracts

Collberg was the Canadiens' second-round pick (No. 33) at the 2012 NHL Draft. The 5-foot-11, 181-pound right wing had six goals and three assists in 35 games with Frolunda in Elitserien, the top Swedish professional league. He had four goals and two assists in six games for Sweden at the 2013 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Nygren was selected in the fourth round (No. 113) of the 2011 draft. The 6-1, 192-pound defenseman won the Salming Trophy, awarded to the best defenseman in Elitserien. He led the league's defensemen with 13 goals and was tied for fourth in scoring with 32 points. He had a plus-11 rating in 51 games with Farjestad.

Quote of the Day

He's only 17 but he can see the ice so well and he moves the puck and goes to the open ice all the time, so I just think he's a player that is ready to play in the NHL. I'm really looking forward to coaching someone like this.

— U.S. National Junior Team coach Ron Wilson on Auston Matthews, the projected No. 1 pick of the 2016 NHL Draft
