The stuffed walrus for Prust cost about $40. That donation will go to the World Wildlife Federation's conservation efforts.
Organizers have so far collected about an additional $200. That money and any extra funds gathered by Friday will go the Montreal Canadiens' Children's Foundation.
Besides the walrus, Prust will get a card with the names of all the people who donated money. A card will also be sent to the children's foundation.
The 31-year-old Montrealer and her friend Lissa Albert began the campaign last Friday.
Anyone wanting to donate can go to the website that was set up for fans of Brendan Gallagher, Bgally.com, and follow the links to a walrus for Prust.
