Bruins' Ference suspended one game for illegal check
Boston Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference has been suspended for one game for an illegal check to the head of Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mikhail Grabovski.

NEW YORK -- Boston Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference has been suspended for one game for an illegal check to the head of Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mikhail Grabovski during Game One of the teams' Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series in Boston on Wednesday, May 1, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 10:03 of the first period. No penalty was assessed on the play.
