Blackhawks' Emery leaves with lower-body injury
Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Ray Emery left in the first period of the team's game against the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday with a lower-body injury and will not return.

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Ray Emery left in the first period of the team's game against the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday with a lower-body injury and will not return.

The Blackhawks announced the injury via their Twitter account.

Emery played 13:49 before leaving with the injury. He allowed one goal on eight shots. Corey Crawford replaced him in goal.

The 30-year-old has a 16-1-0 record in 20 appearances this season with a goals-against average of 1.91 for the League-leading Blackhawks.
